OK, so what is Pardon Our Dust? It's an award-winning series about successful home remodeling projects. The series runs in the Sunday Real Estate Section of the Los Angeles Times.
In my efforts to bring incredible stories that will educate and inspire readers, I'm looking for remodels that are . . .
. . . less than 2 years old
. . . in Southern California
. . . interesting in some way
(i.e. the green kitchen was a lifelong dream, or you bought your childhood home and fixed it up, or the remodel was done with salvaged materials from an old winery, or was done against all odds, or?)
. . . visually attractive and colorful
If you have done a remodel that matches most of the above criteria, I want to see it!
Just Starting Your Project?
I'd like to suggest that you keep full records of what happened (plans to the city for approval, demolition, rough plumbing installed, drywall installed, ect.) and when it happened. Just a list of dates and events would be nice. Plus, be sure to take photos of the project both before it starts, and during construction. This will make a nice record for you, and will be really nice for me to refer to if your project is chosen for Pardon Our Dust.
